Traditional Production Methods and Vendor Lineups The much-loved festival officially marks the ceremonial tapping of Stone & Wood’s annual Stone Beer. This special batch is meticulously made using glowing hot volcanic rocks in a passionate homage to ancient brewing methods. Each year, precisely a month before the festival kicks off, Stone & Wood’s master brewing team and the local community gather together for Stone Brew Day. This ceremonial gathering allows participants to heat large stones over a roaring open woodfire. Afterward, they carefully lower them directly into the boiling kettle. This extreme heat creates the rich, smoky wood flavours and deep caramelization that make Stone Beer so remarkably distinctive.
