The Legacy of Hudd Traxx and Hard Times

Eddie Leader is the label owner of Hudd Traxx, home to artists such as Nightmares On Wax and Jovonn, and previously served as label manager for the legendary Hard Times. Hard Times played a pivotal role in shaping UK club culture, famously being among the first to bring artists like Masters At Work and Roger Sanchez to the UK in the early ’90s. As a producer, Eddie has released music on highly respected labels including Luke Solomon’s Classic, Phil Weeks’ Robsoul, and Chez Damier’s Balance Alliance.

A Masterclass in Underground House at Paradiso

His music has received support from some of the most influential names in dance music, including Disclosure, Derrick Carter, Josh Wink, Ricardo Villalobos, Jamie Jones, Kerri Chandler and Laurent Garnier. Eddie was first known as one third of the influential DJ and production trio Slum Science, releasing their debut EP in 2003 on Belgian label Deep Future.

In 2005, he launched Hudd Traxx, which has since featured releases from artists such as Rolando, Matthew Herbert, DJ Sneak, and JT Donaldson.
