Vanessa Baker offers soul-filled, feel-good, enriching musical experiences. As a singer and
musician, she invites you to get lost in the melodies and rhythms, creating performances that uplift, disarm, and leave you feeling connected and alive. She also brings high-energy, rhythm-driven DJ sets, seamlessly blending live performance with electronic grooves. Every show is thoughtfully crafted to move, connect, and leave a lasting impression, whether on stage, in an intimate setting, or across a festival or event.
Her musical journey is unbound by genre. She draws inspiration from dancing with her family in
the lounge room during her teens, exploring early R&B, jazz greats, disco, blues, pop, and folk. Over time, she immersed herself in the rich fabric of the neo-soul movement and later embraced electronic influences, thriving when crossing musical boundaries and bringing energy and rhythm to every space she performs in.
Growing up between the North Coast and the heart of Sydney City, Vanessa has performed at
festivals with vibrant live sound systems, in intimate jazz bars, and on international stages —
including alongside Grammy-nominated Anthony David at London’s iconic Jazz Café. She sees
every setting, large or small, as an opportunity to connect people to the joy of music and elevate their state of being.
With over two decades of experience, Vanessa performs solo or in duo and trio line-ups, tailoring every performance to the energy of the moment. Her early roots in electronic music also shine through in her DJ sets, bringing rhythm-driven, high-vibe energy to every event.
This lifelong passion for authenticity and musical expression has led her to her high-vibrational original artist project, Arora Bloom. Arora Bloom conjures and creates high-vibe original music for our times, exploring Afro House, electro, synth disco, and neo-soul–inspired pop to uplift and connect audiences. Her debut single Born to Love (May 2025) reached number 35 on the Australian/New Zealand Dance Music Charts, with her next release Humanity due February
2026.
