Little Miss Renee

Born in the UK to Jamaican parents, Miss Renee Simone’s musical journey began at the age of seven when she inherited her mother’s cherished vinyl collection. The Little Miss sang along to the jazz legends like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Etta James, and Motown icons such as Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross. This was the foundation of DJ sets featuring live vocals. She then began buying records to add to the collection and she was off.

Her influences are as diverse as her sound; she draws inspiration from R&B legends like Janet Jackson, Lauryn Hill, Whitney Houston, and TLC. With an appreciation for the culture of old-school hip hop and the captivating vibes of UK neo soul, Miss Renee's musical palette is rich.

Beginning her journey with DJ sets featuring live vocals in her childhood bedroom, she also embraced the vibrant rave scene in Germany as a podium dancer. It was here that her love for electronic music truly solidified.

 

Today

Miss Renee is a dynamic and eclectic artist who beautifully embodies the breadth of her musical education in both her vocal style as a singer and her tune selections as a DJ. Each of her performances is uniquely tailored to the audience. Every show is a fun and immersive adventure.

In her solo act, she blends her DJ set with live vocals. She starts with jazz and soul numbers over dinner before ramping up to party bangers to close out the event. Miss Renee’s versatility shines through in her ability to cater to a variety of occasions, from private parties to major festivals.

She has graced stages at renowned festivals, including Splendour in the Grass, Falls Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Island Vibe, and Bluesfest. Miss Renee also performs at prestigious events for notable brands such as Pepsi, the Australian Grand Prix, Versace, SnapChat, Bacardi, Paspaley Pearls, Campari, AFL, Ferrero Rocher, and Sunglass Hut, among others.
