Byron Bay Improv Holiday Program: Unleash Your Creativity

Think fast, take risks, and discover just how funny you can be! This exciting four-day summer school holiday programme for teens is presented by Blah Blah Blah Improv. The goal of the Byron Bay Improv Holiday Program is simple: building confidence, unleashing creativity, and learning how to truly shine on and off the stage.

This immersion is designed for young people and teenagers aged 12–17 years old. Across the entire week, you’ll learn essential life skills by making up hilarious scenes on the spot. You will tackle any fears about performing and play some of the legendary theatresports-style games made famous by the hit TV show Whose Line Is It Anyway?

Skills for Stage and Life

There are no scripts and absolutely no pressure involved. We focus purely on fun, connection, and loads of laughs in a supportive and inclusive environment. Many teens learn improv to boost audition skills or try comedy. Furthermore, others use it simply to feel more confident socially or at school. Whatever your reason, we can guarantee you’ll learn powerful techniques that will increase your awareness and skills for life.

You will actively explore and master key improvisational and social skills, including:

• Embrace failure and use mistakes as gifts for the scene.

• Stay present (and stop overthinking things).

• Be a better listener and respond authentically.

• Use the golden rule, “Yes, and…”, to build on other people’s ideas.

• Run with your first instinct and trust your creative mind.

• Create whole comedy scenes from just a small suggestion.

• Be a supportive team player and connect with others.

Program Details and Showcase

The Byron Bay Improv Holiday Program culminates in a special showcase for family and friends. This four-day bootcamp is structured for maximum learning and fun.

The program takes place at the Cavanbah Centre, 249 Ewingsdale Rd, Byron Bay, NSW, 2481. Consequently, the location is convenient for both locals and visitors.
