DUG Australian Tour: Irish-American Folk Duo Hits East Coast Shores
Get ready to meet your newest pals, DUG! This Irish-American duo is bringing their raw and rowdy fresh sounds to Australian shores for the very first time this October. Therefore, we are stoked to share their transatlantic sounds along the East Coast. The DUG Australian Tour is a debut you won’t want to miss.
The Transatlantic Sound of DUG
DUG consists of Irish songwriter Lorkin O’Reilly and California Clawhammer Banjo player Jonny Pickett. Their sound is steeped in harmony alongside clever picking and fan-worthy fiddle tricks. With roots that stretch from the Appalachians to the Atlantic, the Grammy-nominated duo blends Americana, folk, and indie soul into good times. Consequently, their music is emotionally charged, rich with harmony, and brimming with stories that linger long after last drinks. They are, quite simply, two unreal humans making excellent music together. You can stream their music on Spotify.
New Album and Intimate Performances
DUG has just released an outstanding song, “Livelong Day,” from their much-anticipated new album. The full album is set for release in August through the Irish label Claddagh Records. Following breakout performances in the US and Europe, the DUG Australian Tour offers fans an intimate chance to experience their high-energy performance. The duo will embark on a frivolous journey across small halls and great festivals along the East Coast this October. This is the first of many amazing musical adventures we will all share with this dynamic duo. Prepare your capes and get set to fly with DUG!
