Join the Launch of Our New Electronic Dance Music Event

Welcome to the launch of ‘Beat Generation,’ a brand-new night providing a unique combination of spoken word, live acoustic sets, and a high-energy electronic dance music event. Years ago, in Sydney, we felt frustrated by the lack of deep, fun party spaces with excellent music. Consequently, a group of friends and I decided to create the kind of experiences we wanted to attend ourselves. When was the last time you got to really play and have fun on a night out? Our intention is to bring something truly special to the Byron Shire community. Therefore, we invite you to join us on Saturday May 16th, 2026, at Mullum Civic Hall for an unforgettable evening.

Spoken Word and Soulful Acoustic Sets Before the main electronic dance music event begins, we will showcase incredible local talent. Our lineup features local poets AlleyKat (Kathleen Angus) and Paul C Pritchard. Kathleen is known for her articulate and entertaining readings, while Paul brings a delicacy and soulful power to the stage. Following the poetry, experience a live acoustic set from Gold Coast-based artist TRILLA. She is a heart warrior with a voice that blends the power of Janis Joplin with the presence of Melissa Etheridge. Because she recently delighted audiences at Woodford, we are thrilled to host her in this intimate space.

Late Night Energy and Community Connection

As the night progresses, our DJs will transition the room into a full electronic dance music event. Our headlining DJ, Visceral, has supported global artists such as Infected Mushroom and Adam Freeland. Having played at major festivals like Burning Man and Tropical Fruits, Visceral knows how to guide a dance floor through deep rhythms. This collaboration creates a close and friendly space for people who love to dance and enjoy good music together.
