Led by professional improv artists with decades of experience performing on stages around the world, who trained at iO Theater in Chicago, where all the modern comedy greats learned improv e.g. Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Steven Colbert, Mike Myers, and more!

It doesn’t matter if you have previously performed or not, because we create a supportive and inclusive community in our classroom that feels safe and is loads of fun! Some people learn improv to become better at auditions or stand up comedy, while others learn improv to apply the techniques socially or at work. Whatever your reason for learning improv, we can guarantee* you’ll learn techniques that will increase your awareness and skills that could enhance other areas of your life.

Course Dates

The seven-week course runs for two and a half hours every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 8.30pm from 28 July until 8 September 2026.

Location

The course takes place at the Cavanbah Centre in Byron Bay (also on the Gold Coast). The venue is wheelchair friendly.
